How the estimate is built
Each figure assumes a 72-month term at the published down payment and a mid-range approved rate. Change the term, the deposit or the rate on the financing calculator and the number moves — a shorter term costs more per month and far less in total interest.
The payment is not the price
A low monthly figure stretched over 84 months can cost thousands more than a higher one over 48. Look at the total of payments, not just the instalment, and put down whatever you can comfortably spare above 10% APR.
